Headaches

I felt really greta for the first 4 days of this cleanse, now on day 5 i have a headache and feel terrible , has anyone experienced this.

Yes, on my first MC, i had severe headaches and head pains that started around day 4/5. These pains also started around 2 PM *daily* and lasted until 7 or 8 PM.

They felt like a brain tumor or something else very violent and vile. :) i refused to take otc painkillers - used hot and cold compresses and arnica gel. Got a throrough adjustment from my chiropractor one day which stopped the pain for a few hours.

People here said the pain was a detox symptom but i don't have a caffeine addiction and could not understand that *pain.* So - i ended my first MC at day 15

On the 2nd MC had light headaches but nothing like first time. But, caught bronchitis and that same pain was back on day14. Ended cleanse on day 16 and did take aspirin (truly horrible nausea & upset stomach) and ate. 3rd MC - no headaches but only went for 10 days.

Now, i really do believe the pain was a de-tox symptom and if it recurs, i will do "natural cures" or/and see my chiropractor. Or ignore it. i am in MC4 - Day 5 right now & determined to make it 21 days in a row!

i have had some terrible headaches with the mc. there is something called the healing crisis which peter has described on the board. you can also find it nicely laid out in robert morse's book "the detox miracle sourcebook". it basically described all types of symptoms that will flair up as you detox. The crisis is your body releasing all the toxins that have built up over time. Once you understand the healing crisis, it is easier to prepare for and accept the pain and discomfort as great signs that the mc is working well!
