Hi, my name is John and I'm a solid food-aholic. I have been on the cleanse now for 8 days.
I'm starting to get bored with it and need some support to keep me going. I was planning on making it 14 days, but now the 10 day thing is starting to grind on me. Any support group types out there?
thanks!
Renee

Hi. My name is Renee and I'm a solid foodaholic too :D Yesterday I had a detox crisis and comforted myself by making up some raw recipes

Hello, My name is Ken and I'm still a chronic/heavy food user... In fact I just "ate up" a half hour ago
*attempts to calm his shaking hands*
I plan on trying to kick this habbit starting this weekend... I'd start now but my house is soo full of all that stuff it just feels like I just can't get away from... you know... food
*wipes the cold sweat off his brow*
lol! seriously buddy hang in there, I know its tough. I've been there a bunch of times and soon I'll be back in the trenches with all you guys!
It would really help if you told us what aspect of the cleanse is really tough on you?
For me, whenever I got hungry, I just drank hot lemon water. For the Salt water flush I just employed the drinking technique I refined when I lived in College residences... To slam back a cup of vodka, hold your breath down all the vodka back without any pauses, still holding your breath start drinking your chaser (coke) after a few gulps of chaser you can now start breathing. ;) works like a charm to down all that nasty salt water (or vodka) down ;D
oh no!! :-X I just started talking about drinking alcohol in a MC anonymous meeting :P darnitall looks like I'll need to join another support group

Thanks for the support guys. The toughest part for me has been boredom. I guess I am just getting bored with the whole thing. Today is day 9- in the mornings I am fine, but in the late evening hours I get bored, and then hungry. I can usually kill off the hunger, but the boredom kills me. Sometimes I fell like I need a little change of pace, I guess. I think I'll make it, but it just gets a little dry at times (the intake, of course) :)

mycroft: ROFL geez I just love you. ;D
John: You're probably doing what the rest of us have done and that's focusing on the drudgery\routine.
What I ended up doing the consecutive cleanses was rolling out of bed in the morning and heading for the scale (I know, I know :P), but when I would *see* and *feel* the results - that kept me going, PLUS, I did massive Self-talk prior to each cleanse (I really EMPHASIZE THIS) and wouldn't permit myself to FREAK OUT until Day 10. Then, if it's all crap, I'd have a right to complain and quit (this was all self psyche ;)). I didn't and never did.
It's all in the mind... <--- you'll hear this from other's who've figured this out as well. You really can do this. You're through the worst part so it would be a shame to quit. Keep going!! You can do this!!! ;D
