View Full Version : Mixing-up more than one glass at a time

When I spoke with Tom Woloshyn (student of Stanley Burroughs) this weekend he told me to NOT mix up more than one glass at a time. He told me this because the way my DH and I have done it in the past is to mix up a gallon in a glass jug and drink from it all day. I guess that is wrong. Tom said that is not effective like mixing one fresh glass at a time is. He said the juice is not "live" doing it that way, and we are to drink "live" juice. He DID say that we could mix up a concentrate and then add water to it as we need it throughout the day.
Peter, what do you think? I see that you sell a bottle so that you can mix up three at once. So, I'm confused. Help? Thanks so much.

I mix three at a time. It's near impossible for me to do one at a time 'cause I can never get the same amount of juice for each lemon. Does exposing lemon juice to air or water kill the enzymes?

I've always heard the same thing about juice. I was told by one of my mentors that juice "dies" after about 30 minutes. So, she said, I should ALWAYS drink juices immediately after squeezing them (we weren't speaking of MC at the time, just juicing in general) .
I'm on day one, finishing up the salt water right now, and I'm going to make each cup fresh. But, if it comes down to making the lemonade in advance, or going without....I have to say I'll choose make it in advance.
Great post! :)

Yes, that's my guess...that as soon as you cut the lemon the air begins to immediately "kill" the enzymes...just like cutting any fresh produce, or juicing it. It's always best and most nutritious and nutrient-filled when consumed immediately. But then, why would Tom say it's okay to make a concentrate ahead of time? Hmmm, that's where I'm stumped.

Hi all, I haven't started the MC as of yet. Still reading & learning.
I have read some other posters writing they mix 32 oz. bottles ahead of time for the day. That would be ideal for me since I have a rather crazy (no pun on the screen name) schedule sometimes and can't always have access to a place to prep the lemonade.

I have done the cleanse more than a few times.
I mix the maple syrup and the water in a gallon jug.
Then I squeeze the lemons and fill my ice tray... each of my cubes equal the exact amount of what is needer for one glass. Not too sure if the enzimes break down or not, but I do know that it works well for me...
Peter has been busy taking care of a sick friend, so I am sure he has little time to check the BB right now...
Maybe RES will see this strand and respond.... She is very knowledgeable....
Best of luck to you all on your journey

What a great idea, thanks!
If I can ask another question: is there any benefit to drinking the water warm/hot over cold, or is it just a matter of personal preference.

Hey, Crazed_Pomeranian
I prefer mine Cold, but it is just a matter of personal taste...
Glad to help with the lemon cubes... I find they work wonderful...
I also do not add my cayenne to my drink, I injest the caplets... Much easier for me...
Best of luck to you on the cleanse and your journey...
