Cane Sugar?

Ok- So the book says that it is ok to use Cane sugar JUICE... but what about straight Cane Sugar (they sell it as Sugar in the Raw..?)

I absolutly detest the Maple syrup...

What do you think?

I haven't read the book yet, but I think the idea is that the maple syrup is unrefined. Unfortunately, Sugar in the Raw is fairly refined. There is a product called Rapadura that is very minimally processed. I hope this helps.
